Usage:
Start By:
a. remove oil pan
b. remove vibration damper and pulley
c. remove fan and adapter
1. Install Tooling (A) on the bottom of the cylinder block as shown.
2. Put Tooling (B) in position under Tooling (A) as shown.
3. Remove bolts (1). Remove adapter (2) FROM THE CRANKSHAFT.
4. Remove bolts (3) that hold the engine front support to the support assembly. Using Tooling (B) to lift the front of the engine approximately 12.7 mm (.50 in).
5. Install Tooling (C) in Tooling (B). Put the weight of the front of the engine on Tooling (C).
6. Remove bolts (4). Remove engine front support (5).
Install Engine Front Support
1. Put engine front Support (1) in position on the trunnion. Install the bolts that hold it.
2. Lift the front of the engine with Tooling (B) until Tooling (C) can be removed. Lower the front of the engine with Tooling (B) until the front support is in position on the support Assembly. Install the bolts and nuts that hold the front support to the support assembly. Tighten the bolts and nuts to a torque of 435 ± 20 N·m (320 ± 15 lb ft).
3. Install adapter (2) on the end of the crankshaft.
4. Remove Tooling (A) from the bottom of the cylinder block.
