Usage:
1. Disconnect the battery cables from the batteries.
2. Put identification marks on wires (2) as to their location, and disconnect all the wires from the starting motor.
3. Put identification marks on wires (1) and (5) as to their correct location, and disconnect all the wires from the solenoid.
4. Remove three bolts (3) that hold starting motor (4) to the flywheel housing. Use two persons to remove the starting motor. The weight of the starting motor is 26 kg (57 lb.).
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the electric starting motor. See 3204 Vehicular Engine, Specifications for torque values for the starter on your machine.
5. Check the condition of the gasket for the starting motor, and replace it if necessary.
6. Put the gasket and starting motor (4) in position on the flywheel housing. Install three bolts (3) that hold it in place.
7. Connect all wires (1) and (5) to the starting motor.
8. Connect all wires (2) to the solenoid.
9. Connect the battery cables to the batteries.
