NOTE: This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4706" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

In certain situations the truck hitch may not work properly on certain AP-650B, AP-1000B, AP-1050B, and AP-1055B Asphalt Pavers; and on certain Barber-Greene BG-225C, BG-245C, BG-260C, and BG-2455C Asphalt Pavers manufactured by Caterpillar. If the truck hitch does not work properly it may cause damage to the truck tires and/or rims.

Rework Procedure
Install Truck Hitch Pressure Reducing Valve
1. Above left hand toe point (Oil/Radiator Cooler), remove truck hitch solenoid valve from valve manifold.
2. Install pressure reducing valve (p/n168-8609) with pressure adjusting screws facing inboard. Align dowel pin of the truck hitch solenoid valve with pressure reducing valve.
3. Install solenoid valve on pressure reducing valve with longer bolts.
4. Install Quick Disconnect (6V3966) with 1E2200E sealant and torque to 10 N·m (7.4 ftlb). Install dust cover 6V0852. Install Pressure gauge.
5. Start machine and adjust pressure to 1000 PSI.
6. Remove pressure gauge.
Install Truck Hitch Side Rollers
1. Remove Side Roller from Truck Hitch arm. Place the shaft and bearings from the old roller into the new Side Roller.
2. Install the new roller (p/n166-4654) with tapered end facing the front of the machine using 1 (p/n166-4660) spacer and 1 (p/n 8T4223) washer on each end.
3. Torque the (p/n7X0328) bolts to 105 ± 20 N·m (75 ± 15 ft lbs).
4. Repeat process on the other side roller.
