Rework Procedure
NOTE: Dealers must record the serial number of each vibratory pod on the service report for future reference and keep a copy of it in the machine history file.
REFERENCE KENR7009 AND SEHS9880-01.
See the chart that follows.
Group 1 Machines need to have both left and right vibratory pods rebuilt.
Group 2 Machines need to have the right side-vibratory pod rebuilt
Group 3 Machines need to have the left side-drive vibratory pod rebuilt.
Removal and disassembly of the drum and vibratory pod should be done per the D&A Manual KENR7009.
After the vibratory pods have been reassembled and the drum installed the vibratory pods should be flushed per Special Instructions SEHS9880-01 "Drum Flushing Procedure" to an ISO Code 20/17 or better.
NOTE: Assembling the vibratory pods in a clean room on similar area will reduce the flushing time.
NOTE: Vibratory pod style drums require synthetic oil.
Remanufactured pods are also available for rework of machines in the field. Morton Parts has a limited number of reman pods available. A reman pod is a fully assembled vibratory pod ready to install into the drum, (including oil). CS/CP533C, and CS/CP563C machines use one 10R9872 propel drive side vibratory pod and one 0R9573 vibratory drive side pod. CS583C uses one 0R9570 propel drive side vibratory pod, and one 0R9571 vibratory drive side pod. Order one 9H6832 Seal-O-Ring with each vibratory pod.
NOTE: The 0Rxxxx Housing Gp-Weight part numbers are part of the MCCT program and are subject to 90 day entitlements. It will be necessary to contact one of the following people for the authorization prior to placing an order for the Remanufactured components.

Once the vibratory pods have been installed into the drum, take an oil sample. If the sample has an ISO Code of 20/17 or better no flushing is necessary.
The drum cooling oil reservoir should be filled with 22.5 liters of hydraulic oil, or maintained to just below the fill/check port plug when the port is in the 6:00 position. No flushing is required. Original factory fill oil can be reused if the oil is reasonably clean.
