Description of Change: Starting with the above Serial Numbers, new valve lifters of a different design are used in U.S.-built 3208 Industrial, Marine, Truck and Vehicular Engines and 3204 Vehicular Engines.

The new valve lifters are of a one-piece, solid design.

Adaptable To: The new 9N5786 Valve Lifter is a direct replacement for the former 9L9630 Tappet Assembly for all 3200, 3100 and 1100 Series Engines.

Also, the new 9N5786 Valve Lifters can be used together with the former 9L9630 Tappet Assembly in an engine.
