Aluminum Identification Plate No Longer Used On Torque Converters; Identification Numbers Put Directly On Converter Housing{3101}

Usage:

All Models Equipped With Torque Converters

Description of Change: The aluminum identification or name plate is no longer used on the torque converters of products so equipped. The identification numbers, including the serial number, are now put directly on the outer housing of the torque converter with metal stamps. This change prevents possible damage which can be caused if the aluminum plate comes off the converter and gets into the oil system, or stops the flow of oil into the suction screen.

Adaptable To: All earlier machines. The drive screws and the plate can be removed from all earlier torque converters. Use metal stamps to put the identification numbers from the plate on the converter housing.
