New Governor Control Assembly to Improve Acuator Stability {1289}

G3408 (6NB, 6RJ),
G3412 (7DB, 3NK, 6ZM) Engines
Description of Change: A new governor control assembly has a 7 Hz low pass speed filter which increases actuator stability. The new control assembly works with G3400 Woodward actuators (primarily used on gensets).
Currently, engines use a control assembly with a 15 Hz low pass speed input filter. This control assembly may show signs of instability in the actuator. If the gain dial on the 15 Hz control assembly is adjusted and the engine is still unstable, use the new 7 Hz control assembly.
Adaptable To: The new 118-5449 Governor Control Assembly can be used as a direct replacement for the 4W-5393 Governor Control Assembly.
