Longer Inch Cylinder Head Bolt Provides Increased Thread Engagement {1100}

Description of Change: A new 3.2 mm (1/8in) longer cylinder head bolt (3/8inch diameter) provides increased thread engagement. See the illustration. This longer bolt reduces the chances of stripping the bolt threads during tightening. These bolts should be replaced when servicing or replacing the cylinder head.
Location of the two new 5B-0213 Bolts (1).
Adaptable To: The new 5B-0213 Bolt is a direct replacement for the 0L-2070 Bolt. Two of these bolts are used in each cylinder head group. The new bolt is used on 4P-2470, 4P-9122, 4W-0095, 7E-8758, and 101-1264 Cylinder Head Groups. This new bolt can be used on all former 3500 Engines.
