Usage:
3600 Family Of Engines
Description of Change: New oil temperature regulators are used in the oil cooler lines groups. Oil could cause deterioration of a seal around the temperature bulb on the former oil temperature regulators. This could result in increased oil temperatures. The new oil temperature regulators will eliminate this problem.
Adaptable To: The new 7E6210 Oil Temperature Regulator is a direct replacement for the former 4W4011 Oil Temperature Regulator in the 1W0803 and 2W3329 Oil Cooler Lines Groups. The new 7E6210 Oil Temperature Regulator is used for 85°C (185°F) oil to bearing temperature applications. Also, the new 4P0301 Oil Temperature Regulator is available for 74°C (165°F) oil to bearing temperature applications. The new regulators are adaptable to all earlier engines.
The current recommended service interval for oil temperature regulators is 6000 hours or one year, whichever occurs first.
