Drag Setting (Control Lever) - Check/Adjust

Usage:

CT220-600 HMZ
Drag adjustment is performed at each lever. Proper adjustments are necessary to ensure that the lever remains in the intended position without operator assistance.

  1. Remove the control head from the cutout by loosening the set screw (3) in the rear. Loosen the screw until the control head cab be rotated to release the control head from the base plate front edge (2).

  2. Inset an 1/8 inch hex key into the opening for each lever and set the drag by accessing the drag adjustment screw (4).

  3. Tighten the drag adjustment screws until the desired drag is obtained over the full lever travel.

    Note: 0.45 kg to 0.91 kg (1 to 2 lbs) average drag is normally desirable.

  4. Tilt the control head and engage the groove (1) internal to the control head.

  5. When engaged, tilt the control head until the control head is flat and contacts the gasket.

  6. Ensure that the control head fully engages the base plate. Tighten the two set screws until secure contact with the base plate (2) is made, and the control head is held securely in position. Tighten the screws (3) to 1.13 N·m (10.00 lb in).

  1. Set drag by accessing the drag adjustment screw as shown in Illustration 4.

  2. Insert an 1/8 in. hex key wrench into the opening for each lever.

  3. Tighten the drag adjustment screws until the desired drag is obtained over the full lever travel.

    Note: 0.45 kg to 0.91 kg (1 to 2 lbs) average drag is normally desirable.

  4. Connect, if required, and install the interface harness and secure the strain relieve as necessary.
