Fan Drive - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the Belt Guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, Belt Guard - Remove and Install.

  1. Remove bolts (1) and support channel (2).

  2. Remove clamps (3) and tube assembly (4).

  3. Remove bolts (5) and guard panel assembly (6).

  4. Remove bolts (7) and guard panel assembly (8).

  5. Remove bolts (9) and channel (10).

  6. Remove bolts (11) and guard panel assembly (12).

  7. Remove bolts (13) and guard panel assembly (14).

  8. Attach a suitable lifting device to fan blower group (16). The weight of fan blower group (16) is approximately 37 kg (82 lb).

  9. Remove bolts (15) and fan blower group (16).

  10. Remove v-belt set (17).

  11. Remove bolts (18).

  12. Use two people to remove fan pulley (19). The weight of fan pulley (19) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

  13. Use a suitable lifting device on fan drive (20). The weight of fan drive (20) is approximately 33 kg (73 lb).

  14. Remove bolts (21) and fan drive (20).

Installation Procedure

  1. Use a suitable lifting device on fan drive (20). The weight of fan drive (20) is approximately 33 kg (73 lb).

  2. Position fan drive (20) and install bolts (21).

  3. Use two people to position fan pulley (19). The weight of fan pulley (19) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

  4. Install bolts (18).

  5. Install v-belt set (17).

  6. Attach a suitable lifting device to fan blower group (16). The weight of fan blower group (16) is approximately 37 kg (82 lb).

  7. Position fan blower group (16) and install bolts (15).

  8. Position guard panel assembly (14) and install bolts (13).

  9. Position guard panel assembly (12) and install bolts (11).

  10. Position support channel (10) and install bolts (9).

  11. Position guard panel assembly (8) and install bolts (7).

  12. Position guard panel assembly (6) and install bolts (5).

  13. Install tube assembly (4) and clamps (3). Tighten clamps (3) to a torque of 28 ± 0.5 N·m (21 ± 0.4 lb ft).

  14. Install support channel (2) and bolts (1).
