Transmission Does Not Automatically Shift Into Neutral
The transmission does not automatically shift into neutral because of a possible failure in the Quick to Neutral (Neutralizer) feature. This feature requires that the following parameter be programmed:
- Neutralizer Switch Installation - Installed
Normal Operation - With the Neutralizer feature programmed to "Installed", and the Neutralizer Switch input open, the transmission should shift into NEUTRAL.
Check the following:
- Check the Neutralizer Switch status by using the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) or a multimeter.
