Engine Does Not Crank
The engine does not crank because of causes that are not related to the programming of the transmission. The ignition switch is turned to the START position and the shifter display goes blank or changed from "NN" to "--". The battery is too low for maintaining power to the transmission and/or the shifter.
If the transmissions Starter Interlock Output is used in order to control the engine starter, check the following:
- While the transmission is in NEUTRAL and the engine speed is zero, the output should be ON (+battery voltage) when the Starter Input is ON (+battery voltage).
