Description of Change: The "Programming Cat Electronic Truck Engines" guide was updated June 1998. This guide was updated to reflect the latest parameters and electronic features. The new guide is now available through the corporate literature system.
The June 1998 update of this guide is form number LEXT8269, and supersedes previous form number LEXT7203 from August 1996.
The Electronic Troubleshooting Guides for the electronic engines are meant to be the one safe source for programming specifics. Because of this the guides are updated more frequently to provide accurate information as software changes occur. The Electronic Troubleshooting Guides should be the primary source for troubleshooting and programming, but the above mentioned Programming Guide is widely used as a quick reference for programming. The Programming Guide is a helpful booklet to use when discussing electronic truck engine programming and features with customers.
