--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
Description of Change: A new fuel priming pump assembly is now used for 500/550/600 horsepower 3406E Truck Engines used in Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Volvo applications. This new fuel priming pump assembly is also used in all 3406E Truck Engines used in Western Star applications. The new design of the fuel pump assembly will have improved service life.
Adaptable To: The new 137-5541 Fuel Priming Pump Assembly is a direct replacement for the 105-2508 Fuel Priming Pump Assembly, and is effective with 3406E (1LW00333, 5DS00057) Truck Engines. The 137-5541 Fuel Priming Pump Assembly is 33.02 mm (1.3 inches) taller than the former 105-2508 Fuel Priming Pump Assembly. In some applications, the taller design may not have enough clearance. If more clearance is required, a 137-6283 Adapter (3) and two 1P-0463 Gaskets (2) can be used to install the fuel priming pump assembly (1) in a horizontal position as shown in the illustration. If a fuel priming pump assembly is not wanted, then a 6N-4414 Cover can be installed in place of the pump.
