Engine Oil Pan - Disassemble

Usage:

C280-08 J4R

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the engine oil pan.


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove screen (1) from the housing.

  2. Remove suction bell (2). Remove the O-ring seal from suction bell (2).

  3. Remove clamp (3).

  4. Remove tube assembly (4). Remove the O-ring seal on tube assembly (4).

  5. Remove housing (5). Remove the O-ring seal from housing (5).

Later Oil Pan

  1. Remove bolts (6). Remove cover (8). The suction screen is externally mounted behind the cover inside the tube assembly. Remove bolts (9). If necessary, remove tee (7).

  2. Remove suction bell (10).

  3. Remove clamp (11).

  4. Remove tube assembly (12). Remove the O-ring seals from tube assembly (12).

    Note: Check the O-ring seals for damage. If necessary, replace the O-ring seals.
