New Components Used In Fuel Ratio Control Groups

Usage:

3306, 3306B, 3306C And 3406B, 3406C Truck Engines

Description of Change:

New components are used in the fuel ratio control groups to help prevent both internal and external air leaks. New covers (1) and (2) use O-ring seal (3) to provide improved external sealing. New O-ring seal (5) on extension valve (4) provides improved internal sealing. See Illustration 1.

New gasket (8) is available for use between former covers (6) and (7) on earlier fuel ratio control groups. The new gasket has improved resistance to extrusion which will help prevent external air leaks. See Illustration 2. New O-ring seal (5) can be used in earlier fuel ratio control groups.

Adaptable To:

New 4P7274 Cover (1), 4P7275 Cover (2), and 5P8210 O-ring Seal (3), when used together, are direct replacements for the former 1W2076 Cover (6), 7W2829 Cover (7), 7N9033 Gasket in the fuel ratio control groups. The former covers are not canceled. New 3E6760 O-ring Seal (5) is a direct replacement for the former 7J0204 O-ring Seal on valve extension (4).

New 4P9608 Gasket (8) is a direct replacement for the former 7N9033 Gasket which is canceled.
