The part number of the carrier assembly, in the last sentence of the article, is NOT correct. The correct part number is the 1011944 Carrier Assembly.

Description of Change: A new carrier assembly is used in the governor and fuel pump drive groups. The former carrier had a pressed in plug that could loosen and move. The new carrier assembly has a threaded plug.
Location of the threaded plug in the new 1011944 Carrier Assembly.
Adaptable To: The new 1011944 Carrier Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 4P2642 Carrier Assembly which is canceled. The new carrier assembly is in effect with 3406C Electronic Truck Engine 4CK4699. The new 4P2642 Carrier Assembly is adaptable to all earlier 4CK Truck Engines and all 2EK Truck Engines.
