Engine News SEBD9735, 20 October 2011, "A New Fuel Priming Pump Is Used on C175-16 Engines". The original article has been revised to add the serviceable parts.

Description of Change: The new fuel priming pump does not have the internal plastic check valve that the original pump had. The new fuel priming pump is used with external valve with a metal seat and is less susceptible to an internal leak at high hours.

The new 377-4233 Fuel Priming Pump Gp replaces the previously used 223-5252 Fuel Priming Pump Gp in the 226-7563 Fuel Priming Pump Gp .

The new fuel priming pump is adaptable to the engines that are listed above back to first production.

The new fuel priming pump is effective with the following serial numbers:

P6L00142

Serviceable Parts

Serviceable parts are available for both the new 377-4233 Fuel Priming Pump Gp replaces the previously used 223-5252 Fuel Priming Pump Gp. The parts can be used if a check valve requires service.
