Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal at the battery.

2. Disconnect harness assembly (1).

3. Remove bolts (3) and plate assembly (2).

4. Loosen allen head screws (7). Disconnect harness assembly (6) and harness assembly (8) from electronic control module (10).

5. Disconnect connector (9) and remove harness assembly (6) and harness assembly (8) from bracket assembly (11).

6. Remove bolts (5), ground strap (4), the isolation mounts, the spacers, and electronic control module (10).

7. If necessary, remove bracket assembly (11).

Installation Procedure

1. If necessary, install bracket assembly (11).

2. Position the isolation mounts, the spacers, and electronic control module (10) on the support assemblies. Install ground strap (4) and bolts (5).

3. Position harness assembly (8) and harness assembly (6) in bracket assembly (11) and connect connector (9). Tighten connector (9) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft).

4. Connect harness assembly (8) and harness assembly (6) to electronic control module (10). Tighten allen head screws (7) to a torque of 6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in).

5. Install plate assembly (2) and bolts (3).

6. Connect harness assembly (1).

7. Connect the negative battery terminal at the battery.
