Description of Change: The new alternator has a higher resistance to possible damage from exposure to heat. Also, the alternator is more resistant to corrosion.

Adaptable To: The new 333-1184 Charging Alternator Gp is a direct replacement for the 4N-3986 Charging Alternator Gp on the serial numbers that are listed above.
