Note: Prior to submitting a warranty claim, the oil consumption must be in the range of 1 L (0.26 US gal) of oil per 240 L (63 US gal) of fuel. Also, a daily log must be completed in order to record the amount of oil that is consumed.

New cylinder packs or piston rings are available for certain C13 Industrial Engines. The new cylinder packs and piston rings are less sensitive to certain operating conditions and ambient temperatures. This helps to eliminate carbon buildup under certain conditions.
The following two repair options are available if the oil consumption is within the specified range. The 10R-6214 Cylinder Pack As can replace the current cylinder pack assembly. Also, new piston rings can replace the current piston rings. Refer to Table 2.
