Description of Change: A 35-ampere Delco-Remy alternator is now used on some engines in Caterpillar equipment. Formerly, a 19-ampere Prestolite alternator was used on these engines. Some parts books have not been updated to show the serviced parts for the new alternator. If your parts book does not have information on the new alternator, see the parts book for the 825C Compactor, 86X1-up. The form number for the bound book is SEBP1233. The form number for the microfiche is SEFP1233.
Adaptable To: See the NPR (Numerical Parts Record) for a list of machine serial numbers where the new alternator is used.
