When Timing The Engine, Be Sure The Timing Bolt Is Installed In The Correct Hole In The Flywheel{1156,1251,1281}

Usage:

The 9N5836 Arrangement of the 3406 Truck Engine is used in some models of Oshkosh trucks. This engine is equipped with a 6N9667 Flywheel Assembly which has a circle of twelve one inch (25.4 mm) diameter holes near the outer circumference. One of these twelve holes is near the hole into which the timing bolt installs. Unless a person is careful when timing the engine, it is possible to install the timing bolt into this hole instead of the correct hole which is smaller and has threads.

Location of one inch (25.4 mm) diameter holes in relation to holes for timing bolt.
