6V109 Torque Multiplier Available For Use With Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Stand{0614}

Usage:


The new 6V109 Torque Multiplier is used with the 1P850 Torque Multiplier on the Wolff Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Stand (HCRS). This new torque multiplier is used instead of the 2P8343 Torque Multiplier, which has a lower torque rating.

The 2P8343 Torque Multiplier is still used with the 1P850 Torque Multiplier on the Caterpillar cylinder repair stand. Both the 6V109 and 2P8343 Torque Multipliers give input torque to the 1P850 Torque Multiplier. The maximum torque rating is 10,000 lb ft (13 500 N·m) when the 6V109 and 1P850 Torque Multipliers are used together. This rating will give full use of the Wolff Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Stand. When the 2P8343 and 1P850 Torque Multipliers are used together the maximum torque rating is 7500 lb ft (10 180 N·m).


6V109 and 1P850 Torque Multipliers.

NOTE: When the 1P850 Torque Multiplier was released it was a Sweeney 8100 type "C", with a maximum torque rating of 7500 lb ft (10 180 N·m). Later it was changed to a Sweeney 8100 type "D" with a 10000 lb ft (13 500 N·m) rating. The Caterpillar part number did not change. The Sweeney model number is shown on a plate on the bottom of the multiplier. The 6V109 Torque Multiplier must be used only with the Sweeney 8100 type D. See the chart for the maximum torque ratings when different torque multipliers are used together.
