To Prevent A Possible Change In The Fuel Rack Setting, A Specific Assembly Procedure Must Be Used To Tighten The Bolt On The Governor Stop Collar{1259,1257,1250}

Usage:

3400 Series Engines Equipped With A Shut-Off Solenoid

It is possible for the governor stop collar to move axially during operation of the above engines, unless a specific assembly procedure has been used to tighten the retainer bolt on the governor stop collar. Movement of the governor stop collar will cause a change in the fuel rack setting.

Location of parts.

To prevent possible movement of the stop collar during engine operation, pull the 8L4154 Collar toward the shut-off position while you tighten the 9M4704 Bolt. The 9M4704 Bolt is the one that holds the stop collar on the 8M8739 Stop Bolt.
