Description of Change: New cylinder liners are used in the above models. The new liners have a wide groove added around the outside of the liner. The groove starts .510" (12.95 mm) below the bottom of the flange, and is 1.440" (36.58 mm) wide. The addition of the new groove permits a better flow of coolant around the upper part of the cylinder liner. This gives better cooling and lowers the maximum temperature of the liner during engine operation.
Adaptable As: Direct replacement. The new 8N5676 Cylinder Liner can be installed in place of the former 6N5398 Cylinder Liner, which is canceled.
