Removal Procedure

1. Remove bolt (2) and manual shutoff (1).

2. Remove bolt (4) and lever (3) from adapter (5).

3. Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (6). Remove lever (7) from adapter (5).

4. Remove lip seal (8) from adapter (5). Remove O-ring seal (9) from adapter (5).

Installation Procedure

1. Install O-ring seal (9) on adapter (5). Apply clean engine oil to O-ring seal (9).

2. Use Tooling (B) to install lip seal (8) in adapter (5) with the lip of the seal toward the adapter. Apply clean engine oil on lip seal (8).

3. Install lever (7) in adapter (5). Use Tooling (A) to install retaining ring (6).

4. Install lever (3) and bolt (4) on adapter (5).

5. Install manual shutoff (1) and bolt (2) on the engine. Ensure that the lever is under the governor stop lever. Ensure that the lever is in contact with the governor stop lever.

6. To adjust the manual shutoff lever, refer to the following procedure.

   1. Loosen the nut and the setscrew on the lever.

   2. Rotate the manual shutoff lever until the manual shutoff lever makes contact with the governor control linkage. Hold the manual shutoff lever in position.

   3. Turn the setscrew until the setscrew makes contact with the manual shutoff lever.

   4. Turn the setscrew for an additional revolution. Tighten the nut.
