- Pull the emergency knob on the air intake shutoff or press the emergency stop button in order to release the blade latch on the air inlet shutoff.

Illustration 1 g01961328 - Disconnect the harness assembly from air inlet shutoff (1).
- Remove bolts (4), bolts (5), bolt (6), and pipe (3). Remove the flanges and the gaskets. Remove the O-ring seals from pipe (3). Repeat for the other side.
- Remove bolts (2). Remove air inlet shutoff (1). Check the gaskets and replace the gaskets, if necessary.

Spring force will be released when covers are removed.
Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
- Remove bolt (22), knob (18), and washer (17).
- Remove bolts (21) and cover (16).
- Remove spring washer (20) and lip seal (15) from shaft (19).
- Remove bolts (12), arm (11), latch (13), spring (14), and shaft (19) from the housing.
- If necessary, remove the bushings from the housing.

Before you remove the air intake shutoff, pull the trip knob on the air intake shutoff or press the emergency stop button in order to release the blade latch. If the blade latch is released after the air intake shutoff is removed, serious personal injury can result. |
- Install air inlet shutoff (1) in the reverse order of removal.
- Ensure that spring (14) is installed in the correct position.
- Apply clean engine oil to lip seal (15) and the O-ring seals.
- Reset the air inlet shutoff to the "OPEN" position.
