Gear Pump (Transmission Charging and Scavenge) - Disassemble

Disassembly procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Transmission Charging and Scavenge - Remove".


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

  1. Remove O-ring seal (1) and O-ring seal (4). Remove bolts (2) and remove manifold assembly (3).

  2. Remove O-ring seal (5) and O-ring seal (6) from manifold assembly (3).

  3. Remove bolt (7). Remove cover assembly (8).

  4. Remove O-ring seal (9) from cover assembly (8). Remove sleeve bearings (10) from cover assembly (8).

  5. Remove gear (12) and remove shaft (11). Remove body (13).

  8. Remove gear assembly (16) and remove O-ring seal (17).

  9. Remove sleeve bearings (18).
