Truck Engine News, SEBD6804, 01 08 2007, "Updated Procedure for Cleaning the Nozzles in the Aftertreatment Regeneration Device (ARD)". Disregard this article. See the article that follows.

The ARD purge air pump on the above listed engines can turn ON if the keyswitch is in the OFF position. Use the following procedure to dispense the liquid cleaner into the system.

1. Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.

2. Wait for ten seconds.

3. Turn the keyswitch to the ON position.

4. Wait for five minutes.

5. Dispense the liquid cleaner. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8087 for the correct procedure.

The dealer should communicate to the customer that the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8087, "ARD Nozzle - Cleaning" has been updated.
