The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Damaged oil pressure sensors can cause a 100-3 Engine Oil Pressure : Voltage Above Normal diagnostic code on 2007 model year C7 engines. The engine oil pressure sensor could have been installed with the incorrect orientation. Incorrect orientation can damage the sensor.

Solution

Inspect the engine oil pressure sensor for damage. If the sensor is damaged, replace the sensor. Install the new sensor with the correct orientation. Refer to Illustrations 1 and 2. If the sensor is not damaged refer to Troubleshooting, RENR9342.
