Hood - Remove and Install - Engine
- Open latches (2) on hood assembly (1).
- Attach a suitable lifting device to hood assembly (1). The weight of hood assembly (1) is approximately
45 kg (99 lb) .Show/hide table
Illustration 2 g03736965 - Support the hood assembly in the OPEN position. Remove nut (4) and the washer from gas spring assembly (3).
- Remove pin (5), the cotter pin, the washers, and gas spring assembly (3).

- Remove bolts (6) from hood assembly (1).
- Remove hood assembly (1).

- Install hood assembly (1) in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten nut (4) to a torque of
12.5 ± 2.5 N·m (111 ± 22 lb in) .
- Tighten nut (4) to a torque of
