Start By:
- Remove the hood (clean emissions module).

Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool. |
- Turn disconnect switch (1) to the OFF position.
- Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct filling and draining procedure.

- Disconnect hose assembly (2) and harness assembly (3).

- Install clean emissions module (5) in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten clamp (11) to a torque of
35 N·m (26 lb ft) . - Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of nitrogen oxide sensor (7) and nitrogen oxide sensor (9).
- Tighten nitrogen oxide sensor (7) and nitrogen oxide sensor (9) to a torque of
50 N·m (37 lb ft) . - Tighten soot sensor wires (6) to a torque of
1.2 ± 0.20 N·m (10.62 ± 1.770 lb in) .
- Tighten clamp (11) to a torque of
