An Improved Single Tilt Brace Is Now Used On Certain D9R and D9T Track-Type Tractors {6050, 6061}

Description of Change: An improved 6I-8087 Brace (Single Tilt) is now used on certain D9R and D9T Track-Type Tractors. This brace has two improvements that will eliminate cracking on both ends.
The new brace has a reduced weld gap and an increased weld size between the side plates and the rod eye casting. The reduced weld gap will eliminate cracking at this location. See the Illustrations below.
The new brace also has a modified top plate to reduce stress and an increased cross sectional area near the bolt holes to increase service life.

- D9R (S/N: WDM4299-UP)
- D9T (S/N: REX375-UP; RJS78005-UP; TWG647-UP)
- D9R (S/N: WDM1-4298)
- D9T (S/N: REX1-374; RJS1-78004; TWG1-646)
