New ECM Software is Available {7620}

Usage:

G3516 WPS
Engine:
G3516 (S/N: WPS1-UP; WPT1-UP; WPW1-UP)

New ECM software flash files are now available for engines that are listed above.

The electronic control system for the G3516 engines has been upgraded from an "Electronic Ignition System" (EIS) controller to an "Engine Control Module" (ECM). Unlike the EIS controller, the ECM requires a software flash file in order to run the engine.

The software for this application contains expanded features. Please refer to Table 1 for the available software for your application. The software may be flashed using "Electronic Technician" (ET). The standard flashing procedure for ET can be used.

Note: This is not a warrantable repair.
