Introduction
The problem that is identified below has a known permanent solution. Use the solution that is identified below.
Problem
On the machines listed above, an error may occur while performing the visual implement valve solenoid calibrations while using Electronic Technician 2008A. If all six visual calibrations are selected and performed in the normal sequences then no error will occur. However, if some of the calibrations are de-selected, then a warning may appear during the calibrations that states that "a serious error has occurred, the application needs to shut down, contact the technical support." Then the Electronic Technician will shut down. For example, this will happen if only the raise and lower solenoids are selected. Other combinations of the six available calibrations may also produce this error.
This Electronic Technician error does not cause any problems with the tractor. This is only a problem with the Electronic Technician software. This problem does not occur when performing the pressure based calibration procedures available for these tractors in Electronic Technician.
Solution
To prevent this error from occurring and being kicked out of Electronic Technician, there are three choices:
- Choose and perform all six visual calibrations.
- Choose the pressure based calibrations option.
- Upgrade to the Electronic Technician 2008B. This problem has been corrected in Electronic Technician 2008B.
