Note: Verify that all of the components of the diverter valve are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.
Note: Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
- Install valve (38), spring (39), O-ring seal (40), and plug (41) to body (3).
- Install valve (34), spring (35), O-ring seal (36), and plug (37) to body (3).

- Position stem (21), rectangular seal (22), and cover (16) to body (3).
- Position spring (20), dowel (19), rectangular seal (18), and cover (17) to body (3).
- Install elbow (15) and the O-ring seal to cover (16).

- Install ball (14), retainer (13), spring (12), retainer (11), and retaining ring (10) to stem assembly (9).
- Use Tooling (A) (not shown) in order to install retaining ring (10) to stem assembly (9).
- Repeat Steps 11 and 12 for the remaining side of stem assembly (9).
