Make Sure There Is Clearance Between The Propeller Shaft Fastener And The Transmission Output Flange{3305}

Usage:

7271 Marine Transmissions

It is important that there is enough clearance between the fasteners used to hold the propeller shaft in position in the companion flange and the end of the transmission output flange. Propeller shaft fasteners that extend too far toward the transmission can result in interference with the bolts or retainer plate on the output flange. Make sure there is at least 3 mm (.1") clearance between these components.

Clearance necessary between transmission output flange and propeller shaft fastener (not shown).
