Engine dalam mesin ini dapat bersertifikasi dan dilindungi oleh jaminan emisi gas buang (emission warranty). Lihat Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU6981, "Emissions Control Warranty Information". Publikasi ini akan memberikan penjelasan terperinci mengenai jaminan emisi gas buang yang berlaku untuk engine yang telah disertifikasi. Engine yang disertifikasi akan memiliki label sertifikasi khusus. Dealer Caterpillar dapat memberitahukan apabila engine anda disertifikasikan.
