Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the priority valve for the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Priortiy Valve - Remove".

1. Remove bolts (2) and the washers. Remove cover (1) from valve body assembly (3) .

2. Remove spring (4), spacers (6) and spool assembly (5) from valve body assembly (3) .

3. Remove O-ring seal (7) from cover (1) .

4. Remove slug (8) from spool assembly (5) .

5. Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (9) .

6. Remove ball (10), spring (12) and retainer (11) from spool assembly (5) .
