Attachment Coupler Operation

Usage:

906 6ZS

------ WARNING! ------

Improper attachment of attachments could result in injury or death.

Do not operate this machine until you have positive indication that the coupler pins are fully engaged.

To check for engagement:

1. Keep the attachment close to the ground.

2. Push the tilt control to tilt the attachment down.

3. Put down pressure on the attachment.

4. Back the machine up and make sure there is not movement between the attachment and the coupler.

Securing the Attachment

  1. Position the attachment on a level surface.

  1. Tilt the quick coupler assembly forward.

  1. Align the quick coupler assembly (1) with the bosses (2) of the attachment. Move the quick coupler assembly under the bosses and rack back the attachment.

    Note: Make sure that the coupler pins are fully retracted before you align the quick coupler assembly with the bosses of the attachment.

  1. Move the attachment coupler control (3) to the LOCKED position in order to engage the coupler pins.

  1. Verify that the coupler pins are engaged before you operate the machine with the attachment.

  1. If the attachment is equipped with auxiliary hydraulic lines, perform the following procedure.

    1. Stop the engine.

    1. Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position.

    1. Move the multipurpose control back and forth in order to relieve hydraulic pressure within the auxiliary hydraulic lines.

    1. Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position.

    1. Connect the auxiliary hydraulic lines for the attachment.

Releasing the Attachment

------ WARNING! ------

Disengaging the coupler pins will release the attachment from control of the operator.

Serious injury or death may result from disengaging the attachment when it is in an unstable position or carrying a load.

Place the attachment in a safe position before disengaging the coupler pins.

NOTICE

Auxiliary hoses for attachments must be removed before the quick coupler pins are disengaged.

Pulling the attachments with the auxiliary hoses could result in machine damage.


  1. Level the attachment on the ground.

  1. Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position in order to stop the engine.

  1. Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position.

  1. Move the multipurpose control back and forth in order to relieve hydraulic pressure within the auxiliary hydraulic lines.

  1. Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position.

  1. Disconnect any auxiliary hydraulic hoses (if equipped).

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Press the switch for the attachment coupler control to the UNLOCKED position.

  1. Push the multipurpose lever forward in order to disengage the coupler pins.

  1. Tilt the quick coupler assembly forward. Lower the quick coupler assembly away from the bosses of the attachment.

  1. Back away from the attachment.
