New Tightening Procedure for the Oil Filter Line {1307}

A new tightening procedure has been released for the oil filter line on the marine engines that are listed above. The new tightening procedure will result in an increased lifetime of the 179-2502 Tube As. Refer to the following procedure for tightening the 179-2502 Tube As .
- Loosen the 8T-8986 Elbow .
- Hand tighten the fittings on the oil line in the numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 2. Tighten the fittings to 130 ± 5 N·m (96 ± 4 lb ft).
