PROBLEM
The existing 443-8462 Antenna wires may rub on the cab roof on certain D6N and D6N XL Track-Type Tractors equipped with the 397-2505 GSM Product Link. If the existing 443-8462 Antenna fails it can be replaced with a new antenna of the same part number. |

ACTION REQUIRED
If the existing 443-8462 Antenna fails, replace it with a new antenna of the part number. Add a 132-5739 ladder clip to manage the extra antenna wire length. Properly route the 365-6510 Antenna Cable from the antenna to the product link module. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure. |

1. Remove the failed 443-8462 Product Link Antenna. Refer to Image 1.1.1. |

2. Apply sealant Loctite SI 5145 on the new 443-8462 Antenna coaxial entry to protect against from moisture ingress. Refer to Image 1.2.1. |

3. Install the new 443-8462 Antenna on the bracket. Tight the antenna nut to 5 +/-0.5 N.m. 4. Apply Loctite 222 on Antenna connector threads and connect the antenna. Attach connectors with a 7K-1181 Strap. 5. Add a 3S-2093 Strap to attach the Antenna wire on the link. Refer to Image 1.3.1. |

6. Add a second 132-5789 Ladder Clip on the antenna bracket bolt. 7. Remove the extra wire length and attach properly the antenna wire with two 3S-2093 Strap Cable. Refer to Image 1.4.1. |

8. Check the 365-6510 Cable As routing following steps below. Replace the 365-6510 Cable As. by the same part number if it is damaged. 9. Attach properly the 365-6510 Cable As. with one 3S-2093 Straps. Refer to Image 1.5.1. |
