In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 20% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer. |
ACTION REQUIRED
Valve adjustments must be done and documented in the machine file. 775E OEM initial 250 hrs then every 3000 hrs or two years. 992K Initial 500 hrs then every 3000 hrs. D10T Initial 500 hrs then every 4000 hrs. Rocker arm rollers and camshafts lobes should be inspected during every valve lash adjustment. Nominal wear is to be expected on valve train components during the course of engine life. Spalling and pitting may be present but do not necessarily indicate an eminent failure. A failure is considered when a machine is low on power or the upper valve train wear is progressing towards a low power complaint or mechanical failure. Refer to Image 1 for pictorial examples. NOTE: Existing rocker arm components - Button / Screw-Arm Adjustment /Nut-jam - are to be reused unless they are found to be non conforming. A complete repair report must be submitted when a claim is submitted and must include the inspection and valve lash adjustment history. |
