Engine Oil Filter Base - Install
Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Install O-ring seals (17) on adapter (18). Position the adapter on the oil filter base assembly (16). Install bolts (20) .

- Install O-ring seals (10), (12), and (14) on oil filter base assembly (16) .
- Position the oil filter base assembly on the engine oil cooler and the cylinder block and install bolts (15) .
- Install bolts (11). Install bolts (13) .
- Install the O-ring seals on hose assembly (8) and hose assembly (9) .
- Position hose assembly (8) and hose assembly (9) on adapter (18) and install bolts (19) .
- Position oil filter base (6) on the flywheel housing and install bolts (1) .

- Install gasket (3) on the oil filter base. Position oil filter adapter (4) on oil filter base (6) and install bolts (2).
- Install the O-ring seals on hose assembly (8) and hose assembly (9) .
- Position hose assembly (8) and hose assembly (9) on oil filter adapter (4) and install bolts (5) .
- Install engine oil filter (7). Follow the directions on the engine oil filter for the correct installation procedure. Do not overtighten the engine oil filter.
- Fill the lubrication system with engine oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities" for the lubrication system capacity of the engine.
