Installation Procedure

1. Clean the inlet manifold heater face with cleaning solvent. Apply Tooling (A) to the inlet manifold heater face. Allow Tooling (A) to dry for 3 to 5 minutes. Apply Tooling (B) to the joint face and spread uniformly. Heater assembly must be installed and tightened within 10 minutes.

2. Position air inlet cover (7) and inlet manifold heater (4) on the cylinder block. Install bolts (3) . Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft).

3. Install ground straps (5) (if equipped).

4. Connect hose assembly (6) to air inlet cover (7) .

Note: The brackets that hold down the harness assemblies must be installed in the proper locations.

5. Connect harness assemblies (1) and (2) .
