Reference: Special Instruction, REHS1473, "Procedure to Modify the Engine Harness when Installing the 228-0267 Modulating Valve or the 228-0266 Coil "

Description of Change: A new Modulating Valve and a new Coil are now being used. These new components will improve the reliability of the turbocharger wastegate.

Adaptable To: The new 228-0267 Modulating Valve replaces the former 219-0329 Modulating Valve. The new 228-0266 Coil replaces the former 155-4426 Coil. The 228-0267 Modulating Valve and the 228-0266 Coil are effective with the serial numbers that are listed in Table 1.

The 228-0267 Modulating Valve and the 228-0266 Coil are adaptable to the serial numbers that are listed in Table 2. When replacing the former Modulating Valve or when replacing the former Coil, the existing engine wiring harness will have to be modified. The engine wiring harness modifications are explained in Special Instruction, REHS1473, "Procedure to Modify the Engine Harness when Installing the 228-0267 Modulating Valve or the 228-0266 Coil ". Special Instruction, REHS1473 is included with each new 228-0267 Modulating Valve and each new 228-0266 Coil.
