New integral seals are used in the water lines groups on these engines. The new integral seals are made from steel with a rubber bead on each side. The use of the new integral seals will result in stronger joints between components. This will help prevent coolant leaks at the joints.

The new 204-9598 Integral Seal (1) is a direct replacement for the 122-8857 Gasket. The 179-2960 Integral Seal (2) is a direct replacement for the 127-2176 Integral Seal. Illustration 1 shows the locations of integral seals (1) and (2) in a typical water lines group. The new 198-6067 Integral Seal (3) is a direct replacement for the 121-7533 Gasket. Illustration 2 shows the locations of integral seal (3) in a typical water lines group.
