NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.



NOTICE

Inspect all gaskets and seals. Replace as necessary.

  1. Use Tooling (A) to install seals (10), if necessary. Ensure that the lip of the seal is toward the insideof the housing.

    NOTICE

    If the water temperature regulator is installed incorrectly, it will cause the engine to overheat.


  2. Install four water temperature regulators (9) with the spring upward.

  3. Install seals (8).

  4. Install seal carrier (7).

  5. Position the water regulator housing and install 5 bolts (2).

  6. Install 4 bolts (1) and (6).

  7. Position hose and install 2 bolts (5) in flange and two bolts (4) in clamp.

  8. Install hose and coupling (3).

  9. Fill the cooling with coolant to the correct level. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
